"Everfrost" (Published 28th July 2021)

Elkbury is all sixteen-year-old Beatrice Crane has ever known. Raised by her over-protective father, she dreams about leaving the village. When Grub and his fellow soldiers arrive in the Old Dead Oak, it seems like her dreams are about to come true. But dreams in Venari have a deadly habit of turning into nightmares.

As she ventures out of Elkbury to journey to the mysterious Everfrost, Beatrice learns about monsters large and small, violence, death, and more than a little about herself.

The Queen’s Guard have been sent to Everfrost to find out why the settlements in the area keep failing. Why do no survivors ever make it back to Red Fern? The Queen’s scholars and the Knights of the Green Fire seem to think there’s a werewolf problem. But how do you kill a werewolf?

Meanwhile, Father Arcadius has undergone a bit of a change. He’s stronger, faster, hungrier, and hairier than ever.

Set sixteen years after the events of “Banished”, “Everfrost” takes you deeper into the dark fantasy world of Venari.

“Everfrost” is part of a small series that introduces the wonderful, if monstrous, world of Venari. The books can be read in any order, but there are little nuggets of fun that will be enjoyed if read chronologically.

"Banished" (Published 10th November 2020)

Welcome to the monstrous world of Venari. Try not to get eaten.

Elkbury is an idyllic village, hidden away in a rural area of pseudo-medieval Venari. It’s a place free of death and disease due to a mysterious ceremony called the Banishment. It’s a secret system that has worked well for decades. But, secrets rarely stay secret forever. When Hedwin’s grandmother is about to undertake her own Banishment, he and his best friend Laura Beth decide to find out what their beloved Anastasia is about to experience.

Just like disease, murder has no place in Elkbury, but it has wormed its way in. Wren Goodwort takes it upon herself to find the mysterious killer and clear her name in the process.

Soon Wren, Hedwin, Laura Beth, and the rest of the villagers are thrown together to fight for their lives as deadly, monstrous, and hungry secrets are uncovered and Elkbury’s delicate balance is destroyed.

“Banished” will introduce you to your new favourite monsters; some human, some not.

"Snuff Fairies" (Published 23rd December 2020)

"Snuff Fairies" is a short story set on the pseudo-medieval world of Venari. Venari is a place where just about everything wants to eat you.

Helmund started his first job in the Falconwald Silversnuff Mill about a month ago where he does little else but sweep the floors. One day, the mill's owner, Mr. Merryweather, gives Helmund a new job to do. At first, the job seems mundane, but it soon becomes clear it's a front for something far more deadly. As he embarks on his first nightshift, Helmund realises just how much he has been kept in the dark.
