I was going to reveal this on Friday, but things were pretty heated on social media following the referendum here in the UK, so I thought I’d wait for the dust to settle. Things haven’t really improved (people are still upset and rightly so in many respects – this decision will negatively impact many of my friends if the UK does indeed leave the EU), but life must go on. So, in what I hope is a happy and positive post, I want to tell you a little more about my current work in progress.
I’ve been calling this little beauty “Reflections” for a few months now, but there are a few extra words in that title. From now on, Book 2 of The Others series will be known as “The Others: A Bleak Reflection”. “A Bleak Reflection” has been ‘borrowed’ from a stunning album by a fantastic band called De Profundis. You can listen to (and buy!) this album through the tasty little widget below (the widget will magically transport you to the wonderful world of Bandcamp – a site where I spend far too much time and money):
You can find out more about De Profundis on their Facebook page.
As I mentioned the other day, I am now into the final third of the story for this book. This means that if you see me walking around with a deranged smile on my face over the next couple of weeks, it’s because I’m dreaming up lovely little scenes in my head. Please be aware that my definition of “lovely” may differ from yours.
That’s it for now. This update was rather short and sweet, but I hope it’s got a bit excited for the next part of The Others story and has tempted you to buy some great music.
