I’ve decided to ignore the fact that it’s April Fool’s Day and concentrate on something far more interesting… Camp NaNoWriMo. “What’s Camp NaNoWriMo?” I hear you ask. Well, it’s like NaNoWriMo, except for the fact that you can set your own word goal, it doesn’t take place in November and the website has a lovely campsite theme. As mentioned previously, I will be using Camp NaNoWriMo to write the first draft of my second novel – the follow-up to “The Other’s Voice” – titled “Reflections”. So, this evening I started typing like a woman possessed and I’ve made a fair bit of progress. Four chapters worth of progress. I have to admit, I’m more than a little excited at this point!
I will be keeping the stats on my Camp NaNoWriMo profile up-to-date, so check it out if you want to see how I’m getting on and check that I’m doing my homework. I’d also love to hear from you if you are also taking on your own Camp NaNo challenge. Please feel free to get in touch!
Anyway, moving on…
Previously, I mentioned that I was working on a short story called “Lydia”. I’m now extremely pleased to say that the first draft is done and I will be editing it very soon (probably when writing “Reflections” starts to drive me crazy… so about this time tomorrow). Once completed, “Lydia” will be available on Kindle and Kobo for free. Free stuff is cool.
Sadly, the typewriter in the above image is just a stock photo. I wish I had a typewriter. Like free stuff, Typewriters are cool.
