Pre-order “The Other’s Voice”

mockupebookEeek! I feel like I should have started my first post on this website with something more “writery”, but “eeek” seems to be appropriate. You see, I am now no longer an “aspiring author” – I am actually an author. I have written a book. You can buy it. Well, you will be able to buy it as of the 13th March. For now, you can pre-order it. Which, frankly, is just as exciting.

If you’ve stumbled across this post because you follow me on Twitter, the fact that I’ve written this book should come as no surprise. Around September / October last year, I started tweeting about how I wanted to take part in that year’s NaNoWriMo. There’s nothing particularly special about that as thousands of people take on the challenge each year and I had attempted it couple of times before. The difference this time was that I told a lot of people about it – starting with the 3,000+ lovely folks who follow me on Twitter. In addition to that, I continuously posted my progress throughout NaNoWriMo month (also known to some as “November”) and I told whoever else would listen. While this did provide me with the kick up the arse needed to complete the story, it also meant that I had a bunch of people asking me when they’d be able to read it and towards the end of NaNoWriMo month, I came to realise that I was actually going to have to self-publish my ramblings.

So, here it is. My first novel (I feel like this sentence should be written in crayon with a back to front ‘s’). I had a lot of fun writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it.

You can pre-order the eBook from Amazon and Kobo. A link to pre-order the paperback will be added as soon as it’s available. Find out more about the book here.

*** EDIT: The paperback can now be purchased here ***

If you do pre-order the book (or buy it at a later date), I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a comment here or wave at me on Twitter.
